SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
I don't know who you are, but you saved our lives.

OPTIMUS PRIME
We're Autobots. We're from Cybertron, a planet far from Earth.

SPIKE WITWICKY
Another planet? That's awesome!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Those who tried to harm you are called Decepticons. We must stop them before they destroy your world.

SPIKE WITWICKY
Can we help?

OPTIMUS PRIME
We are the only ones who can stop the Decepticons.

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
But my son, Spike, and I know more about Earth than you do.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Hmm. Maybe you can help us.

SPIKE WITWICKY sits somewhere outside AUTOBOT HEADQUARTERS and writes in a JOURNAL about his first impressions of his new robot friends.

SPIKE WITWICKY
(Thinks) The Autobots are a highly advanced form of robot. I don't really know if they're from the past or the future, but they can think and have real feelings. (Out loud) I can't believe this is happening to me!

SOUNDWAVE, having spied on SPIKE, transforms to his WALKMAN MODE just before the HUMAN comes his way.

SPIKE WITWICKY
Hm. Wonder who left this here?

SPIKE unwittingly picks up SOUNDWAVE and takes him into AUTOBOT HEADQUARTERS. SPIKE then places SOUNDWAVE on a CONSOLE and walks on to another of the base's chambers, where he meets up with TRAILBREAKER.

SPIKE WITWICKY
Hey, tell me more about Cybertron.

TRAILBREAKER
What would you like to know?

SPIKE WITWICKY
For one thing, why do you transform into cars and things?

TRAILBREAKER
Simple. Disguise! Besides, it sure beats walking.

SPIKE WITWICKY
Yeah, but... how do you do it?

Cut to room where SPIKE and TRAILBREAKER encounter HOUND and MIRAGE.

TRAILBREAKER
Spike here wants to know how we transform, Hound.

HOUND
Easy. Like this

SPIKE WITWICKY
Incredible...

HOUND
Now watch this!

A HUMAN FIGURE suddenly appears in the driver's seat of HOUND's jeep mode. SPIKE WITWICKY

Who's he?

TRAILBREAKER
Nobody. He doesn't really exist, Spike. It's a hologram.

SPIKE WITWICKY
(With laughter in his voice) What other tricks can you do?

MIRAGE
Try this one, Spike. Now you see me...

A RECTANGLE OF LIGHT emerges around MIRAGE and he disappears. MIRAGE
... now you don't.

SPIKE WITWICKY
Hey! Where'd Mirage go?

MIRAGE materializes several feet away from the others.

MIRAGE
Over here!

SPIKE WITWICKY
Disappearing! That's the best disguise of all!

HOUND
Hop in, Spike! I'm gonna take you for the ride of your life! Belt up and hang on!

SOUNDWAVE, secure that no one can see him, transforms to ROBOT MODE, softly touching down on the floor.

SOUNDWAVE
Ravage! Enter Teletraan 1. Acquire knowledge of Earth's resources.

SOUNDWAVE transforms back to WALKMAN MODE and positions himself where he was before.

HOUND
Sure is pretty out here, Spike. Earth must be a nice place to live.

SPIKE WITWICKY
It's okay. But tell me about Cybertron.

HOUND
Before the war with the Decepticons, it was quiet and peaceful.

SPIKE WITWICKY
You miss it?

HOUND
Sometimes. Hold tight!

Later, SPIKE returns to AUTOBOT HEADQUARTERS and discovers the downloading of information from TELETRAAN 1's MAIN MONITOR. SPIKE WITWICKY
Hey, what's going on here?

SOUNDWAVE transforms to robot mode and lands before SPIKE, towering about the tiny human.

SPIKE WITWICKY
Who... who are you?

SOUNDWAVE chases after SPIKE, but SPIKE manages to sound the INTRUDER ALARM.

SOUNDWAVE
Ravage! Eject! Eject!

OPTIMUS PRIME
A Decepticon! Get him!

SOUNDWAVE
Ravage!

WHEELJACK
There he is!

HOUND
Get him!

UNKNOWN
Fire!
It's too dark!

UNKNOWN
Can't see him!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Gears! Activate your infrared!

RATCHET
There he is!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Fire the net! We've got him!

TELETRAAN 1
[SOUNDWAVE PLAYBACK: Sherman Dam is the largest in the western hemisphere. The hydroelectric power plant has a capacity of 1,750,000 kilowatts.]

MEGATRON
Good work, Soundwave.

STARSCREAM
But that's not enough electrical power to make the energon cubes!

MEGATRON
Your knowledge is only overshadowed by your stupidity, Starscream. We are going to create a tidal wave, one that will send enough power surging through that dam to make all the energon cubes we need. We attack the dam at sunrise!

Soundwave, dispatch Rumble.

SOUNDWAVE
Rumble, activate pile drivers. Operation: tidal wave.

MEGATRON
It's working. Excellent! Decepticons, to the power plant!

POWER PLANT WORKER NO. 1
Hey, Ed, look at this gauge!

ED (POWER PLANT WORKER NO. 2)
It's going crazy!

POWER PLANT WORKER NO. 1
Somethin' must be wrong!

POWER PLANT WORKER NO. 3
The river's risin'! Man your emergency stations!

SPIKE WITWICKY
There's some sort of trouble at Sherman Dam. Yeah, a tidal wave. The power output's ten times normal!

JAZZ
Could be the Decepticons, all right. I'll tell Prime!

MEGATRON
I am Megatron, leader of the Decepticons! You will do exactly as I say!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Autobots, accelerate!

MEGATRON
Starscream, prepare the null ray.

POWER PLANT WORKER NO. 1
We've gotta get out of here! She's gonna blow!

I tell ya, it's gonna blow! This whole place is gonna go sky high!

MEGATRON
Perfect. The electrical output is at its peak. Exactly where I want it. Starscream, activate the null ray. Soundwave, prepare the energon cubes. Quickly, quickly!

OPTIMUS PRIME
We've got to work fast!

PROWL
You, uh, think the Decepticons did this?

MEGATRON
You're too late, Prime!

OPTIMUS PRIME
There's your answer, Prowl. Autobots, to the air!

SPIKE WITWICKY
Looks like the heart of the tidal wave's right here!

HOUND
Only one way to find out.

SPIKE WITWICKY
Be careful, Hound!

BUMBLEBEE
Ironhide, we've gotta stop that water!

IRONHIDE
Stop talkin', tighten your shock absorbers, and get in! We're gonna make a new river!

BUMBLEBEE
Let's go!

A group of PEOPLE, who have escaped the flood by climbing up on the ROOF of their HOUSE, cheer as IRONHIDE and BUMBLEBEE divert the flood of water away from their land.

MAN ON ROOFTOP
Thanks, neighbours!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Autobots, to the power plant!

MEGATRON
Gather the energon cubes. Return to base.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Stick it in neutral, Megatron! You're not going anywhere!

MEGATRON
Try and stop me, Prime!

WHEELJACK
Hurry, follow me!

CLIFFJUMPER
For someone who doesn't like to fight, heh, you're not bad, Mirage.

MEGATRON
Any last words??

OPTIMUS PRIME
None you'd wanna hear, Megatron!

MEGATRON
Nothing can stop me now! Not even you!!

STARSCREAM
So long, Autobots. Here's one Starscream's been saving for you!

MEGATRON
You fool, Starscream! Help save the energon cubes! Get them out of here! Follow me!

OPTIMUS PRIME
You destroy everything you touch, Megatron!

MEGATRON
Because everything I touch is food for my hunger--my hunger for power!

OPTIMUS PRIME
No! I'm going to end your hunger once and for all!

MEGATRON
Almost, Prime. But almost doesn't get the job done. You can't stop me!

OPTIMUS PRIME
You're old, Megatron. Yesterday's model. Ready for the scrap heap!

MEGATRON
We'll see who's ready for the scrap heap!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Junk! That's what you are. Junk!

MEGATRON

(Laughs)
When I'm through with you, Prime, there won't be enough pieces to sweep up!

SPIKE WITWICKY
Hound! Hound! You all right down there? Hey! Where's Hound? Whoa! Heelp! Heeelp!

MEGATRON
Who's the scrap metal now, Prime? You'll never stop me! (Laughs)

Prime! Use this for an emergency break! Hydraulic, Prime! You did it!

SPIKE WITWICKY
Ohh... Hound! Are you down there?? (Coughs)

HOUND
Easy, Spike. You almost flooded your engine.

SPIKE WITWICKY
Thanks, Hound. You saved my--

HOUND
We're even. Okay?

SPIKE WITWICKY
Okay!

MIRAGE
Maybe we should repair our ship and go back to Cybertron; forget about the Decepticons.

OPTIMUS PRIME
We can't do that, Mirage. If Megatron succeeds here, he'll be impossible to beat on Cybertron.

HUFFER
But we're not fighters like they are, Prime.

OPTIMUS PRIME
We must have courage, Huffer. We can't ignore the danger, we must conquer it.

SOUNDWAVE
Space cruiser nearly complete.

MEGATRON
And the energon cubes?

SOUNDWAVE
3,000 astroliters more required.

MEGATRON
We need one more source of energy, Soundwave.

SOUNDWAVE
The ruby crystals of Burma.

MEGATRON
Right. They're the richest source of energy on the face of the Earth. I can almost see those ruby crystals now. What was that? Starscream! What in the universe are you doing?

STARSCREAM
Testing the energon cubes. They work!

MEGATRON
Of course they work!

STARSCREAM
You didn't know. You never tested them. I proved it!

MEGATRON
You only proved your defective mentality! Now we need two strikes before we'll have enough energy to return to Cybertron.

STARSCREAM
What's the difference? There's plenty here for us.

MEGATRON
The difference is time, you fool! You set us back!

SOUNDWAVE
Rocket fuel is another highly concentrated form of energy.

MEGATRON
[OVER TRAILBREAKER'S RADIO: Despite your stupidity, Starscream, our mission will succeed. First we strike the Burma crystal mines, and then we'll locate the rocket fuel we need.]

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
That's what we've been waiting to hear. Let's radio Prime.

STARSCREAM
Don't push me, Megatron. My desire for power is as great as yours.

MEGATRON
Power flows to the one who knows how. Desire alone is not enough.

STARSCREAM
Time makes all things possible. I can wait.

MEGATRON
Assemble the strike force!

SOUNDWAVE
Strike force assembled.

MEGATRON
Scramble! To the crystal mines!

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
You know somethin'? I like bein' a spy a lot better than workin' the oilrigs.

SPIKE WITWICKY
Look, Dad, no hands.

TRAILBREAKER
Heheh, big deal. I'm driving!

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
Uh-oh, we've got company!

SPIKE WITWICKY
Can't you go any faster, Trailbreaker?

TRAILBREAKER
Sorry, this is it! I'm not built for speed!

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
We're gonna need a hand, then!

TRAILBREAKER

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
Sparkplug to Autobots! We're being attacked by Decepticons! Send help!

SPIKE WITWICKY

SUNSTREAKER

TRAILBREAKER

SIDESWIPE
Don't worry, nobody'll notice. Just make left turns. (Chuckles)

STARSCREAM
Let's go, hurry up! Get this car loaded! Faster!

MEGATRON
Ah, this place is magnificent. Unbelieveable!

SOUNDWAVE
Enough here to power the entire planet of Cybertron.

MEGATRON
Exactly. I will build the ultimate weapon to defeat the Autobots, to control the planet, to conquer the universe! (Laughs)

OPTIMUS PRIME
There they are.

JAZZ
Megatron and the other Decepticons must be inside the mine.

IRONHIDE
Let's blast their tail rudders outta there!

WHEELJACK
We've got just the trick to do it with, too! There's enough explosive in here to bury them forever!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Not so fast, Wheeljack. We know they're in there, but we don't know where.

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
I'll go. I've worked these mines. I know my way around.

BUMBLEBEE
And since I'm the smallest, I have the best chance of gettin' through. I'll stick that bomb right under their nosegear. Hop in, Sparkplug!

WHEELJACK
Once you set this timer here, you've got sixty seconds. Remember, once it's set, that's it. No turning back!

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
I understand.

OPTIMUS PRIME
If there's any problem, get out of there. We'll find another way.

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
There won't be any problem, Prime. This one's for Cybertron and Earth. Let's go, Bumblebee!

BUMBLEBEE
Come on. Let's go inside. I've never seen anything like this.

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY
It's the ruby crystals that make it glow. They're almost alive.

BUMBLEBEE

THUNDERCRACKER
You know, Skywarp, I can't wait to get back to Cybertron. Earth's so flat.

SKYWARP
Yeah. (Chuckles) I know what you mean, Thundercracker.

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY

SPARKPLUG WITWICKY

WHEELJACK

THUNDERCRACKER
Heh! Maybe we oughtta wrap 'im up and put a little bow on 'im. (Laughs)
